Meetings are held the last Monday of the month, year round, at 7:00pm at the Salem Lutheran church on the corner of Randall St. & Battery Ave. (Across from Riverside Park). Enter from the Battery Ave. entrance on the side of the church.

Reminder: Combined Nov/Dec RNA meeting tonight, Dec 12 at 7pm

General NewsReminder! Our combined Nov/Dec meeting will be held tonight - Monday Dec 12 at 7pm at our usual place, Salem Lutheran Church on the corner of Battery & Randall.

We will have a speaker from the new McHenry Row development at the meeting along with our other usual committee updates.

October Meeting on Monday Oct 24 (Early due to Halloween)

General NewsOur October meeting will be held on Monday October 24th at 7pm (one week early due to Halloween) at our usual place, Salem Lutheran Church on the corner of Battery & Randall.

We will be holding elections for the RNA board at the meeting.

We will also have updates on the proposed development on the Rallo's lot.

Next COP Walk is Monday May 2

General NewsThe Next COP walk will be on Monday, May 2nd at 7pm.

Meet at the Riverside Park gazebo.

WE ALWAYS WALK WITH A POLICE OFFICER!
but we must have at least 5 community members from the scheduled
neighborhood or the walk will be canceled and the officer/s sent back "in-service".

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
SUMMER - If it is 90 degrees or above at 6:00 PM or if a Code Red Heat Alert is issued the scheduled walk is cancelled
RAIN - If it is raining at 6:00 PM the walk is cancelled.

DOG POLICY - Well behaved dogs are welcome. Owners are responsible for the behavior of their pet and must clean-up after them.

Citywide Cleanup on Saturday Oct 23rd at 9am

General NewsThe Citywide Fall Cleanup is Saturday Oct 23. Mayor Rawlings-Blake will be coming out to give us a hand! We will be meeting in the park at the gazebo at 9am to tackle chores in the park and out on the neighborhood streets. Please join us & spread the word! If you can't make it, please be sure to clean up on your own street, or tackle an area you know needs attention!

Baltimore Marathon to be held this Saturday
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary parking restrictions and road closures that will be in effect for the 10th annual Baltimore Marathon, which will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 starting at 8:00 a.m. The 26.2 mile course will begin at Russell and Camden Streets. In conjunction with the marathon, the Carefirst/Blue Cross/Blue Shield Half-Marathon will also be held, along with the United Way 5K Run, the Legg Mason Team Relay and the T. Rowe Price Kids Fun Run. Approximately 22,000 people are expected to participate in this year’s events.

In preparation for the marathon, various parking restrictions and road closures will be implemented. Motorists should pay close attention to posted parking restrictions, as vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed and towed. Citizens with questions concerning the location of their vehicles should call 311.

The following parking restrictions in our area will be implemented on Saturday, October 16, 2010:

Fort Avenue from Lawrence to Hull Streets 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon

St. Paul Street (upper level) from Franklin to Saratoga Streets 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon

William Street (east side) from Warren Street to Key Highway 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon

Fort Avenue (south side) from Lawrence to Hull Streets 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon

Cuba Street from Towson to Hull Street 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon

Next Meeting Monday Sept 27 - Mayor Rawlings Blake Attending

Mayor Rawlings-Blake will be attending, speaking and taking questions. Please be sure to attend the meeting and take advantage of this opportunity to interact with the mayor. Please spread the word to your friends and neighbors and plan to attend - we want to be sure to have a great turnout of residents for the mayor.
