COP Walks with WYPR & the Baltimore Sun

CrimeWe have three exciting walks planned this week starting tonight in Cherry Hill.
City Council President, Shelia Dixon, had to reschedule however, a reporter from
WYPR radio (88.1) was asked by her editor to do a story on the walk so she will join
us. We will meet at 7pm at the Cherry Hill Shopping Center, Cherry Hill Rd., on the
side closest to Terra Firma Rd.

On Wednesday, March 8th our walk through Riverside and South Baltimore will be
accompanied by Baltimore Sun crime reporter Gus Sentementes and (still to be
confirmed) Baltimore City Police Department Commissioner Leonard Hamm. Meet at the
Riverside Park gazebo, 400blk of Randall St. Show the Baltimore Sun why our
successful anti-crime efforts deserved to be recognized - don't miss this walk!

Thursday, March 9th is our patrol in Sharp-Leadenhall/Otterbein. We will start at
the corner of Sharp St. and Henrietta at 7pm. Our last walk through this area was
very inspiring as the problems we had previously reported were fixed. COP really
does work so come out and see for yourself.

The updated walk schedule is below:

March Cleanup

Friends of Riverside ParkSaturday is the fist one in March, so it's clean-up day. Because it's
cold and the ground is frozen, this month, we'll just pick up trash. For
trash bags, come to the red brick building between 8:00 and 9:00.

Saturday Clean-Up @ Riverside Park

Friends of Riverside ParkHello, everyone.

Don't forget, Saturday is a clean-up day. We're going to trim some trees and rip out the shrubs at the Covington/Heath entrance in preparation
for planting a new garden in the spring. I've ordered a dumpster for all the debris, so bring your gloves and lots of energy. We'll be there from 8:00 to noon.

PS. We can go to Salem's Winter Wonderland for a great lunch after all the work is finished!

Riverside Clean UP

Friends of Riverside ParkIt’s Riverside clean-up day on Saturday. If you can spare some time, come help with some park activities:

3 strong guys needed to lift the concrete footers from the old sign into the dumpster across the street.
2 strong guys needed to help pour concrete for the new sign.
4 patient people needed to stain the new picnic tables in the playground.
1 bored person to reattach some of the dog-bag-boxes.
Anyone who’s interested needed to trim some shrubs.

I’ll be there from 8:00 until 11:00. Give an hour, two, or 3 minutes. Hope to see you then.

Important survey concerning Baltimore schools.

General NewsHere is an important survey concerning Baltimore schools.

Even if you don't have children in school yet, please take the time to read & fill out this questionnaire. We have 2 wonderful public elementary schools in our area & I would hate to see them closed. I think husbands & wives can fill out separate forms so please fill it out & send this link to everyone you know in the community. Great schools come from great community involvement.
