Friends of Riverside Park

Thanks to everyone who participated in any way, including as a customer, in the NFBRiverside Fall Festival 2004 held on October 23 in lovely Riverside Park.

The festival was a wonderful event for the folks in the neighborhoods of Federal Hill, Riverside, Locust Point, and South Baltimore. Thanks to you, our vendors, and our sponsors, we made a success of our first ever “big” event to raise funds for the Friends of Riverside Park (FORP) and the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Maryland.

Money raised at the event will be used by FORP to continue our beautification projects for Riverside Park. The local group of the NFB will use its portion to fund their share of the costs of their annual NFB of Maryland state convention (coming in November), and to pay for and distribute around Maryland NFB brochures about how to handle blindness in a modern successful way.

Thank you for helping us make our first annual neighborhood festival a splendid community event and joint fundraiser. All together, we raised and will share approximately$4,000!
